GU-EPS - GMBA 611 - Trust & Friendship Workshop

Event Description:

The Trust and Friendship Workshop is a collaborative initiative between Gannon University and Erie Public Schools that brings together graduate students from Gannon’s GMBA 611 course and newly arrived 7th-grade refugee and immigrant students. The workshop, held from 10:00 a.m. to noon, focuses on building trust, friendship, and cross-cultural understanding through interactive activities and mentorship. Gannon graduate students serve as coaches and mentors, helping middle school participants develop confidence and connection in their new home culture. The session concludes with a pizza lunch from noon to 12:45 p.m., where graduate students and 7th graders share a meal together, reinforcing the themes of community, belonging, and mutual respect.
